The sheet metal machining is a systematic term, and it is a process of making and forming plate parts. From the drawing and unfolding method of plate parts to the bending, soldering, riveting and other production processes in the production process are sheet metal, which mainly focuses on the development and calculation of plate parts.
Specifically, for example, the use of sheet metal to make chimneys, iron drums, fuel tanks, oil pots, ventilation pipes, elbows, large and small heads, funnels, etc. The main processes of professional sheet metal fabrication are shearing, bending, bending, forming, welding, riveting, etc., requires some knowledge of geometry.
Embossing and embossing processes are widely used in sheet metal machining parts, including label pasting position indication, product code, production date, version, manufacturer code, and even patterns, etc. These two processes can be used for processing.
1. The imprinting process of the sheet metal machining
The imprinting is to change the thickness of the material, filling the extruded material in the undulating cavity, and forming undulating patterns or words on the part.
Generally, it is carried out in a closed mold to prevent the metal from being squeezed out of the mold cavity; for larger parts or parts with special shapes that are trimmed, it can be carried out in an open mold. In order to obtain good surface quality of the parts, the blanks should be annealed, pickled, sandblasted, etc. before forming.
2. The embossing process of the sheet metal machining
The sheet metal machining embossing process is similar to embossing, except that the depth of deformation is smaller and the pressure required is smaller. For the method of sheet metal machining embossing, when the depth h≤(0.3~0.4t), it is carried out on the smooth die; when the depth h>0.4t, it is carried out on the die with the corresponding groove matched with the punch, the width of the die is larger than that on the punch, and the depth is shallower than that on the punch.
1. Welding: It is a process method for partially or wholly heating the weldment, or causing plastic deformation of the weldment, or heating and plastic deformation at the same time to complete the connection.
2. Contact welding: During contact welding, the instantaneous heating joint is in a molten state or a non-melting state, and the welded part is pressurized to form a welding method. It can be divided into butt welding, spot welding and seam welding.
3. Threaded connection: Threaded connection has the advantages of simple installation, convenient disassembly, and easy operation. Industrial automobile sheet metal is often used for detachable steel structure connections. It can be divided into screw connection and bolt connection.
The sheet metal machining basically is of the function of automatic tool change, which can effectively reduce the number of clamping of workpieces, reduce or eliminate positioning errors caused by repeated clamping, and improve processing accuracy. When the positional accuracy of each part of the part is required to be high, the automatic tool change function of the machining base can be very convenient and effective to reduce positioning and tool setting errors, and can complete each part in the process of one-time clamping and one-time tool setting. Processing ensures the positional accuracy requirements of each sheet metal machining part.
